The Key Differences Between Flyers and Leaflets.

A leaflet and a flyer are both accepted marketing and advertising tools in the business world.  And both are not just any ordinary tools but are effective tools in the market. But do they differ from each other?  It seems they are the same! But do they differ from each other?  It seems they are the same! Now, it would be helpful if we examine them and find out their similarities or differences, if any. Let us first define each.  A leaflet is a written or a pictorial message placed on a single piece of paper with no standard size, no format and no specified shape, the primary consideration of which is to accommodate the message that is supposed to be contained therein and is easy to distribute.  Its size and weight must be considerably light for easy distribution and dissemination. Recently, the most common size for a leaflet is the A5 leaflet. In the same vein, flyers are single page leaflet advertising a particular event or other activity.  They are commonly used by business establishments or community organizations to either promote products or disseminate information.  Usually, these flyers are tools used in communicating with the public considering its low-cost and massive production.  As marketing strategies became more intense, flyers come in different formats and sizes. Reading these two definitions, leaflets and flyers have almost the same purpose, a tool for effective promotion or communication.  They are synonymous with each other and they work perfectly in the same line, an excellent tool in the field of marketing.  However, some consider flyers as more effective than leaflets.  Accordingly, flyers can be produced at low and affordable costs than leaflets.  Those flyers are produced in large quantities than leaflets.  But looking closely in both definitions, we can understand that flyer is simply a leaflet!  Well, perhaps there is slight difference here.  Let us find out what. As most experienced advertisers express, flyers are amazingly popular among the advertising community.  Modern flyer printing is considerably cheap and they are suitable for any kinds of promotions, from small displays to large scale offers.  Flyers are so accessible and their distribution can be done anywhere.  On the other hand, advertisers classify a printed leaflet as not too cheap in that it is presented in a much better design printed on a material that has a higher grade than what are used in flyers.  Usually it comes in colorful print-out and does not have the texture of a cheap material.  And compared to size and weight, leaflets are a little larger and heavier than the flyers. Well then, we can say there is a slight difference on the mentioned areas.  However, whatever difference they may have, it is important to consider that both are effective marketing tools that any business organization should avail of.  Either an A5 leaflet printing, or whatever size it may have, or a flyer, its purpose is the same.  They both can make your product or service known to people and can turn your business into a great success!
